(We make our appearance at about 30 seconds).
Thank you @Houzz for featuring our Bedford Corners, New York Colonial exterior project in today’s article, “Ten Times to Hire a Color Consultant.” The house was light green with deep blue shutters, though 🙂 All press is good press . . . .

Over the last couple of years, we have had the privilege of working with an irrepressible, color-loving client in her completely updated Colonial home. Recently, we were finally able to photograph the lustrous results. Thanks to our beloved client for her creativity and originality, and putting up with our color cacophony! As we always say, at Debra Kling Colour Consultant, we have the best clients! –xo
Master Bedroom First: In it, we used color effects such as painted anaglypta (traditional embossed wallpaper form the U.K.), a sky-blue ceiling, lacquered to a mirror finish; whimsical custom bedding featuring butterflies and animal patterns; and gorgeous deep teal Stark velvet. With its cane bedstand straight from Paris, the room is French-inspired, romantic and sumptuous.

Thanks so much for including us in Sunday’s column, “Going down the Pinterest Rabbit Hole” , on page 4 of the Real Estate section of the New York Times (look closely)! Of course, I agree with the New York interior designer quoted in the article–“There is a skill set associated with doing this [choosing color]. It is something that people get paid to do, and there is a reason for that.”
