Recent Projects File: “Casual Opulence” in Dobbs Ferry, New York
Our client, who hails from Moscow, wanted to recall classical Russian splendor in the private living quarters of his Westchester County, New York home. We accomplished this through restrained reference to opulence in color and decoration, which includes a gold leaf ceiling, carefully applied by local artisans.
Glimmering Master Bedroom.
Hand-blown Murano pendants, in Arabesque shapes, reflect and refract light on the metallic ceiling.
Here, outlines of assorted Moroccan vessels are defined.
Reams of lush embroidered fabrics in wall-to-wall draperies add to feeling of opulence and plenty.
Golden satins and earthy velvets — all custom for the project–adorn the bed.
